I am a Professor Emeritus
content : shalom rav,
I am a Professor Emeritus

Gathering information about individuals may be worthwhile, I am not sure, but more important, to my mind, is to put togehrther the picture of how these insitutions fun'ction in terms of their political orientation. Heads of departments, in fact entire departments of faculty, are often selected on the basis of political
orientation, while far more worthy people are ignored.
The School of Education at TAU is a case in point, long dominated by the followers and/ or offspring of important MAPAI leaders. They degraded the institutions to the point where today there is almost not a single person there who is an expert in pedagogical methods and school organization, the two central features of all public education.
